Historic Stahl Building

Trimming Out the Interior Windows Along Third Street (2022)

The east wall of the Stahl Building features a row of five original windows, but when we started the cleanup they were covered inside and out. The 100+ year old windows underneath were in pretty rough shape but we were happy to see that some original features remained intact. Taking design cues from the old window casings and crown moulding, we blended the old with new wood trim, then patiently painted each one- resulting in a beautiful wall of windows that look like they've always been there. Materials for this project were purchased with funds from a 2021 AWERE Grant.
